Why Choose Us
Real Stories From Clients Who Trust Us
Highly Recommended for Legal Guidance
My family and I had an exceptionally positive experience with Robin Jawanda and Alisha O'Neill at Wilson Rasmussen LLP. Both are genuinely caring lawyers who responded promptly to our many questions. They handled my family's matters with expertise, professionalism, and compassion during a challenging time of grief. Their ability to explain complex legalities in plain language showcased their patience and kindness. The staff, including both Robin and Alisha, were consistently friendly and welcoming, making the entire process smoother. I also appreciated Robin's thorough approach in drafting my Will. I highly recommend their services for anyone seeking not only legal expertise but also a compassionate and supportive approach when dealing with Wills and estate matters.
Trusted for Over 25 Years
In a professional capacity, we have recommended Mary-Jane Wilson to clients for real estate transactions for over 25 years. She and her team have always delivered services reliably and accurately. More recently we sought Mary-Jane's help to update our wills and POA documents. She took the time to explain all the legalese and her diagrams during conversations simplified complicated ideas so we felt confident that our wishes were clearly communicated. She is engaging, friendly, knowledgeable and a pleasure to work with and we would wholeheartedly recommend her and her team.

I've worked with several capable law offices in my life, but this firm truly stands out. Their clear, concise advice and responsive actions are exceptional. I cannot say enough good things about this outstanding team. From the kind and professional front desk staff to my rock star lawyer Robin and my amazing senior legal assistant Alena, this is the team you want in your corner!
Mary Jane has been Excellent to Work With

What happens if I die without a Will?
If you die without a Will in BC, the Wills, Estates, and Succession Act sets out who will be the beneficiaries of your estate. It depends on who is in your family to determine who will receive what in BC: spouse and children receive first, if there is no spouse or children, then grandchildren take, then parents, if no parents, then brothers and sisters, etc. The estate goes to the government only if there are no nieces and nephews.
